Day 1: Welcome to Marrakech – A Journey Begins

As soon as you land in Marrakech, you’ll feel the energy of the city buzzing in the warm air. At the airport, we’ll be there to greet you and take you straight to a traditional riad nestled inside the old medina.

Once you’ve had time to rest and freshen up, we’ll head out for a gentle stroll through Jemaa el-Fna square. As the sun goes down, the square transforms into a stage: snake charmers, street musicians, henna artists, and food stalls begin to light up the night. You’ll hear drums, smell grilled meats and spices, and maybe even try a bowl of warm harira soup. It’s a soft, magical welcome to Morocco.

Day 2: Discovering Marrakech’s Hidden Corners

We start the day with a traditional Moroccan breakfast.

Our first stop is the Bahia Palace, a 19th-century marvel filled with intricate tile work, carved cedar ceilings, and peaceful courtyards. Next, we’ll visit the ancient Ben Youssef Madrasa, once the largest Islamic school in North Africa , its beauty lies in the details.

Afterward, we dive into the souks (markets), where the narrow alleys are packed with shops selling leather, spices, carpets, and hand-crafted jewelry. You’ll see artisans at work and maybe find a unique souvenir , just don’t forget to haggle, it’s part of the fun!

Lunch is served on a rooftop terrace overlooking the medina. The afternoon is yours , maybe you’ll visit Majorelle Garden or simply relax with a fresh orange juice near the Koutoubia Mosque.

Day 3: Into the Mountains – Marrakech to Ouarzazate

Today, we leave the city behind and journey into the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 meters above sea level). The road curves through stunning scenery: mountain villages, terraces, and deep valleys.

We’ll stop for a visit to the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a centuries-old clay village and UNESCO World Heritage Site. You might recognize it from movies like Gladiator or Game of Thrones. We’ll wander its alleyways and climb to the top for panoramic views.

By evening, we reach Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa.” After a long but scenic drive, you’ll enjoy dinner and a quiet night in this desert city.

Day 4: From Ouarzazate to the Valley of Roses

This morning, we explore Atlas Studios , one of the largest film studios in the world. Then, we head east to the oasis of Skoura, where ancient kasbahs are hidden among date palms.

Continuing our journey, we follow the Valley of Roses, famous for its blooming pink roses in spring. We’ll arrive at Kalaat M’Gouna, a peaceful town nestled in the foothills, where rose water and traditional cosmetics are made.

We’ll stay overnight in a charming guesthouse surrounded by mountains and nature , far from the noise, close to the stars.

Day 5: Gorges and Golden Dunes – To Merzouga

After breakfast, we hit the road toward the desert. First, we stop at the breathtaking Todgha Gorges—narrow canyons carved by the river through red limestone walls. You’ll walk between towering cliffs and hear the echo of your own footsteps.

We’ll then continue south to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara. There, camels will be waiting to take us into the Erg Chebbi dunes. As the sun sets, we ride across the sand toward our desert camp.

Tonight, you’ll enjoy dinner under the stars, warmed by a fire and the rhythms of berber or Gnaoua music played by local nomads. It’s one of those nights you’ll never forget.

Day 6: Sunrise and Nomadic Life

We’ll wake early for a peaceful sunrise over the dunes , a quiet moment that makes the entire trip worth it.

After breakfast, we will set off for a half-day tour around Merzouga. We’ll visit nomadic families, explore fossil-rich areas, and stop by Khamlia, a village known for its soulful music and hospitality.

Day 8: From Zagora to Ouarzazate via Agdz

We drive through the southern Draa Valley, stopping at old kasbahs and local villages. The road is dotted with palm trees and stretches of desert.

In Agdz, we’ll explore the ancient kasbah of Tamnougalt, and continue to Ouarzazate, where we rest again before turning westward toward the coast.

Day 9: From Ouarzazate to Taroudant

Today’s drive is through lesser-traveled paths, across rocky plateaus and green valleys. We arrive in Taroudant, often called the “Little Marrakech” due to its red walls and bustling souks , but without the crowds.

We’ll walk the ramparts, explore the traditional market, and enjoy the calm of this authentic town.

Day 10: To Agadir – Where the Mountains Meet the Sea

A short drive takes us to Agadir, Morocco’s Atlantic gem. The vibe changes completely—ocean breeze, seagulls, and open skies.

Day 11: Through Argan Country to Essaouira

We take the coastal road toward Essaouira, a lovely drive through argan forests (you may see goats climbing the trees!). Optional stop at a women’s argan oil cooperative.

We reach Essaouira in the evening , a laid-back port city with blue-and-white architecture and a strong artistic vibe.

Day 12: Essaouira – The Blue Windy City

Today is all about slow exploration. Walk the medina, visit the Skala fortification, and watch fishermen unloading their catch at the harbor.

You can shop for colorful art, hand-carved wooden crafts, or just relax with the sound of the waves in the background. Try a grilled fish lunch at the market , simple, fresh, amazing.

 Day 13: Return to Marrakech

We leave the coast and make our way back to Marrakech. Along the way, you’ll notice how the landscapes shift again, from ocean to argan groves to red desert hills.

Once we arrive, you can revisit your favorite spots in the medina, or maybe treat yourself to a traditional hammam spa experience. Tonight, we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner in a rooftop restaurant with views over the city.

Day 14: Departure Day – Until Next Time

Depending on your flight time, you may have a final walk through the souks for last-minute souvenirs or one last cup of mint tea. We’ll transfer you to the airport and wish you safe travels and warm memories.

If you have a short time in Morocco, you can choose a 3-day trip from Marrakech to the desert, which takes you from the city’s hustle and bustle to the peaceful sand dunes of Merzouga. On this intense adventure, you will pass through the Atlas Mountains, visit the Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, and spend the night under the stars in a traditional tent in the desert.
