Embark on the Sahara secrets: Ouarzazate to Merzouga 3-day journey and experience golden dunes, authentic desert villages, and breathtaking sunsets. For a richer adventure, we also offer an extended 5-day program.
Day 1: Ouarzazate → Dades Valley
We start our morning in Ouarzazate, the quiet desert gateway often called the Hollywood of Morocco. Our first stop is the legendary Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site where narrow clay alleys and fortified towers have witnessed centuries of history, and countless movie productions.
From here, we continue through the Valley of Roses, where fragrant fields of Damascus roses stretch as far as the eye can see. If we’re lucky, we can stop at a local cooperative to learn how rose water is distilled in the traditional way.
By evening, we arrive at the Dades Valley, famous for its dramatic rock formations and winding gorges. Tonight, you’ll stay in a traditional riad or guesthouse nestled in the valley, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and a sky filled with stars.

Day 2: Dades → Todgha Gorges → Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we head towards the majestic Todgha Gorges, where towering cliffs rise on both sides of a narrow canyon. There’s time for a short walk to soak up the beauty of this natural wonder.
We then continue towards the desert, passing through small towns like Erfoud, known for its dates and ancient fossils. As we approach Merzouga, the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi gradually rise on the horizon, welcoming us into the Sahara.
Here begins the adventure: we leave the car behind and ride camels into the dunes, heading toward our desert camp. As the sun sets, the sky turns shades of orange and purple, a magical moment you’ll never forget. Dinner will be served under the stars, accompanied by Berber music and the rhythm of desert drums. Tonight, you’ll sleep in traditional tents, or if you wish, directly under the Milky Way.

Day 3: Merzouga → Ouarzazate
We wake up early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, one of the most breathtaking experiences in Morocco. After breakfast at camp, we drive back to Ouarzazate.
