Day 1: Arrival in Ouarzazate
After arriving in Ouarzazate, you will immediately feel the calm atmosphere of this desert city surrounded by mountains. Take some time to relax at your hotel, explore the city a little, or visit the famous Taourirt Kasbah, which reflects the rich history of the region. Enjoy a comfortable dinner tonight and get ready for the desert adventure starting tomorrow.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Valley – Merzouga
Good morning! After breakfast, we leave Ouarzazate and head south toward the Sahara. The road itself is an experience, passing through green palm groves, old kasbahs, and red mountains glowing under the sun.
Our first stop is Skoura Oasis, where you can walk among the palms, see the ancient kasbahs, and take beautiful photos. Next, we drive through the Dades Valley, famous for its dramatic cliffs and Berber villages perched on the slopes. We’ll stop for lunch and continue to Todra Gorge, a narrow canyon ideal for a short walk and breathtaking photos.
In the afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. Ride camels into the dunes at sunset to watch the desert colors change before heading to the desert camp for dinner and a night under the stars.
Day 3: Merzouga – Nomads, Lake, Gnawa Music, and Mount M’Fiss
Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes. Today is dedicated to exploring desert culture and nature.
We begin with a visit to nomadic Berber families, where you’ll see their tents, meet the families, taste traditional mint tea, and learn about their simple but deep desert life.
Next, we visit the nearby desert lake, a peaceful spot to watch birds and enjoy reflections of the dunes, perfect for photos. In the afternoon, experience Gnawa music, a magical moment that connects you to the soul of the Sahara. Then we head to Mount M’Fiss for panoramic views of the dunes and desert surroundings.
Return to the camp for dinner and spend your second night under the stars, enjoying the calm and beauty of the desert.
Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Return to Ouarzazate
Good morning! After breakfast, we start our journey back. Stop in Rissani, an ancient town with lively markets full of spices and traditional crafts , a perfect place for souvenirs and photos.
Continue past Erfoud, enjoying the changing desert landscapes. We’ll drive through the scenic Dades Valley, stopping for photos and short walks along the way. In the evening, arrive in Ouarzazate, enjoy dinner, and rest for your final night in the city.
Day 5: Transfer to the Airport
Good morning! After breakfast at your hotel, we’ll take you to Ouarzazate Airport in time for your departure flight. On the way, take a last look at the landscapes, remembering the golden dunes, palm groves, mountains, and the unique nomadic culture you experienced during this stuning journey.
