Day 1: Errachidia – Erfoud (or nearby)
Welcome to Errachidia! From here, we start our trip toward the desert. The drive takes us through the Ziz Valley, a beautiful route lined with thousands of palm trees and small Berber villages. We’ll stop for photos along the way so you can enjoy the scenery.
By the afternoon, we’ll arrive in Erfoud (or nearby), a small town known for its fossils and traditional markets. This is where you’ll spend your first night, relaxing at the hotel and preparing for the adventure in the dunes. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
Day 2: Erfoud – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)
After breakfast, we continue our journey toward the Sahara until we reach Merzouga, right at the edge of the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Here, the adventure begins! In the afternoon, camels will be waiting for you to cross the dunes. As the sun sets, the sky and sand change colors , it’s one of the most magical sights of Morocco. You’ll arrive at the desert camp where you’ll have dinner, enjoy Berber music by the fire, and spend the night under the stars.
Day 3: Merzouga – Nomads, Lake, and Desert Activities
Wake up early for the sunrise , it’s worth it! After breakfast, today is all about discovering the desert life. We’ll visit nomadic Berber families in their tents, share a cup of mint tea, and learn about their way of life.
We may also stop at the seasonal desert lake, where birds like flamingos sometimes gather, and then enjoy some Gnawa music in a local village. If you like, you can try sandboarding, quad biking, or simply relax and enjoy the calm of the desert.
At night, return to your desert camp or riad in Merzouga for another peaceful evening surrounded by dunes.
Day 4: Merzouga – Erfoud – Errachidia
After breakfast, we say goodbye to the Sahara and drive back toward Errachidia. On the way, we’ll pass through Erfoud again and the beautiful palm groves of the Ziz Valley.
We’ll make stops for photos and short walks before reaching Errachidia in the afternoon, where our desert adventure ends.
