Day 1: From Fes to the Blue Pearl of Morocco
We’ll leave Fes in the morning and head north through peaceful hills and olive groves. The drive to Chefchaouen takes about 3.5 hours, but we take our time ,stopping along the way for coffee, photos, or just to enjoy the mountain air.
Once we arrive in Chefchaouen, the first thing you’ll notice is the blue , it’s everywhere. Walls, doors, steps… the whole medina feels like a dream. Calm, clean, and full of charm.
We’ll take a relaxed walking tour through the old town, visit Outa El Hammam Square, explore the ancient kasbah, and wander through beautiful narrow alleys made for photos and quiet discovery.
Before sunset, we’ll hike (or drive) up to the Spanish Mosque, a perfect viewpoint overlooking the entire blue city and surrounding mountains. The sunset here is magical.
Dinner will be in a local restaurant serving traditional dishes like chicken tagine with olives, or the region’s famous goat cheese.
