Welcome to “Fez to Desert Echoes – 5 Day Journey”, a unique adventure from the heart of Fez to the golden Sahara. In just five days, you’ll discover Morocco’s culture, landscapes, and desert magic. For those with less time, we also offer a 2-day Sahara escape, and for deeper exploration, a 10-day Morocco journey.
Day 1 – Welcome to Morocco / Fes to Midelt
Your adventure begins the moment you land at Fes Airport. We’ll be waiting to greet you with a warm smile and start driving south into the Middle Atlas Mountains.
Our first stop is Ifrane, a peaceful alpine-style town that surprises many first-time visitors. We continue to Azrou, where you might meet a few monkeys in the cedar forest.
We then head toward Midelt, a town nestled between mountain chains. It’s a quiet place, perfect for your first night in Morocco. Dinner is homemade, warm, and comforting , the perfect way to end the first travel day.

Day 2 – Midelt to Merzouga: Palms, Valleys & First Steps into the Sahara
After breakfast, we hit the road again, heading toward the Sahara. On the way, we cross the stunning Ziz Valley, filled with thousands of palm trees stretching as far as the eye can see.
We stop in Erfoud , the gate to the desert , for a short visit or quick lunch, then continue to Merzouga.
By the afternoon, you’ll start to see the famous Erg Chebbi dunes appear in the distance. We’ll ride camels into the heart of the desert, arriving at our desert camp just before sunset.
Watch the sun melt into the dunes, then enjoy dinner under a sky full of stars, followed by traditional Berber music around the fire.

Day 3 – Sahara Sunrise / Rissani & Todra Gorges
Wake up early for sunrise in the dunes , it’s quiet, golden, and deeply peaceful. After breakfast, we ride camels back to the village and continue the journey.
We visit Rissani, a town rich in tradition and history, then head toward Tinghir, where we explore the impressive Todra Gorges , massive cliffs carved by water over centuries. You can walk beside the river between canyon walls that reach up to 300 meters.
In the evening, we stay in a cozy hotel or guesthouse near the gorges.

Day 4 – Todra Gorges to Oasen & Back Toward the North
After breakfast, we follow the road north through valleys, oases, and small Berber villages. The landscapes change again , more green, more hills, more farmland.
We stop along the way for breaks and lunch, and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of rural Morocco. This is a slow travel day, a chance to absorb everything you’ve experienced.
By the end of the day, we’ll reach a small town between the mountains for a relaxed final night on the road.

Day 5 – Return to Fes
After breakfast, we complete the loop and drive back to Fes Airport, passing familiar roads and memories. You may recognize Ifrane or the hills outside Fes , but now you see them with different eyes. With that we have finished our Fez to Desert Echoes – 5 Day Journey.
