Day 1: From Marrakech to the Dades Valley – Crossing the High Atlas
We start our Sahara Soul Journey: 3 Days from Marrakech early, leaving behind the city of Marrakech, and climbing towards the majestic High Atlas Mountains. We will cross the famous Tizi pass n’Tichka (2,260m), with stunning landscapes: reddish hills, Berber villages traditional and curved that seem to touch the clouds.We will stop at a mountain village to have mint tea with the locals and learn a little about authentic Berber culture. Day 2: Into the Desert – Dades to Merzouga
After breakfast, we explore the surrounding Dades Valley, including the rock formations known as “monkey fingers” and traditional Berber houses built on the hillsides of mountains.
We then headed towards the city of Tinghir, and then to the impressive Todra Gorges, with walls rising over 300 meters high and a crystal-clear river in the background. It’s a place perfect for photos and a short walk.
